About this MacBook Pro
The 2019 Macbook Pro 16-inch is Apple’s latest introduction to the 2019 Macbook Pro line-up. The larger improved format allows for a bigger screen as well as a couple of larger storage options for high-end users. This model features an Intel “Core i9” processor running on 8 cores with 16 GB of ram similar to the MVVM2LL/A specs but with a touchpad. This makes this significantly faster compared to previous MacBook Pro models.
This specific model is made to order and features a dual graphics card setup using the standard Intel UDH 630 graphics card as well as the Radeon Pro 5600M graphics processor with 8 GB of dedicated RAM. Apple has improved its storage options with new higher-end offers such as 4 TB and 8 TB SSDs. Similar to 15” and 16” MacBook Pro units with dedicated graphics, it also offers faster speeds. Lastly, Apple has dropped its previous butterfly keyboard design for its redesigned scissor key mechanism. Apple has claimed that this will help avoid issues users were having with the previous models.
This MacBook Pro comes installed with macOS Catalina 10.15.1 and can be upgraded to the latest macOS (Ventura). This 16-inch MacBook Pro also measures 0.64 in ×14.09 in ×9.68 in and weighs 4.3 lbs (2.0 kg).

Storage
The default storage for this model is a 512 GB of non-removable SSD. This can be upgraded to 1 TB, 2 TB, 4 TB, or 8 TB at the time of purchase.
Screen Size and Resolution
A 16.0″ Widescreen Retina display high resolution (3072×1920) LED-backlit widescreen is the only screen type and resolution available for this model. The screen supports up to 500 nits and feautres True Tone technology.
Processor& Graphics Processing Unit (GPU)
This MacBook Pro comes with MacOS X 10.15.1 (19B2093) and runs on a 2.4 GHz Intel Core i9 (I9-9980HK) processor with up to 5.0 GHz of Turbo Boost supported. It also has a dual GPU setup running a Radeon Pro 5600M graphics processor with 8 GB of dedicated HBM2 memory. The system also has a secondary Intel UHD Graphics 630 graphics processor that shares the system memory.
Memory & Architecture
This MacBook Pro features a 16 MB shared level 3 cache with 16 GB of 2666 MHz DDR4 SDRAM for its RAM. This can be upgraded to 64 GB at the time of purchase.
Battery Life
The MacBook Pro comes with a 100 watt-hour lithium polymer battery that provides 11 hours of wireless web or iTunes Movie use. As applications and Mac OS becomes more efficient, so do the devices it runs on; however, under high loads, users can expect to see reduced running times.
Upgradability
This MacBook Pro 16 inch can be upgraded from 16 GB RAM to up to 64 GB RAM on a purchase and is not able to be upgraded further after purchase. If you are looking to run Windows, the system can run Windows 10 (64-Bit) and does it quite efficiently due to updated bios and drivers.
