Apple continued the production of the MacBook Pro a1286 in early 2011 by introducing the MacBook Pro MC721LL/A that features a Core i7 processor with 4 GB of 1333 MHz DDR3 SDRAM (PC3 – 10600) and 500 GB of hard drive space. This includes the Thunderbolt standard port that supports 10 Gbps of bandwidth in both directions and is also used by peripherals to support resolutions as high as 2560×1600 and audio signal.
