This device is a BTO/CTO device which is nearly identical to MA896LL. We have listed this device separately as it has been configured with an upgraded processor when compared to the base model. This has been done to make it easier to catalog as well as easier to read.

The Apple MacBook Pro went on sale in November 2007. Although it looks like the PowerBook G4 that preceded it, one of its key differences is the Intel Core 2 Duo 2.6 GHz processor (T7800) that powers it. The MacBook Pro is developed to suit the more power hungry individuals and allows its owners to do complex work on the go. The MacBook Pro comes with a 15-inch screen as standard. The device comes with an impressive 160.0 GB Serial ATA (5400 rpm) hard drive with “Sudden Motion Sensor”. It is incorporated in the previous PowerBook and iBook lines to ensure the safety of your data in event of any accidental damage.

Screen Size and Resolution

The MacBook Pro has a 15.4” widescreen that incorporates a TFT active-matrix “glossy display”. It ensures clear visuals from most wide angles. It provides a 67% brighter back panel than the PowerBook that preceded it. It also supports a 1440×900 native resolution along with other resolution options such as 1024×768 and 1152×720.

Battery Life

The MacBook Pro comes with a 60-watt-hour lithium polymer battery that can last as long as 6 hours. This put its official battery life lower than its predecessor the PowerBook.

Upgradability

This MacBook Pro can be upgraded from 2 GB RAM to up to 6 GB RAM.The operating system of the MacBook Pro can also be updated from its pre-installed MacOS X 10.4.9 (8Q1058) to up to MacOS X 10.11. It can also run its Windows counterpart, Windows OS XP SP 2 (32-Bit), and operating systems as recent as the Windows Vista (32-Bit). With dimensions of 1.0 in × 14.1 in × 9.6 in and a weight of 5.4 lbs. (2.45 kg) the MacBook Pro 15 -Inch Core 2 Duo is a portable device packed with features that make it a great device. Definitely portable enough to be convenient to use, but best to plug it in for the majority of the time.
