This iPod Color Display is a renamed version of iPod Photo released in 2005. This iPod is a well-equipped device of its time that delivers audio and a visual experience.
This iPod features Podcast Menu that displays podcast artwork in colors. It also allows you to stream an episode or download it to play offline. This iPod was a clear improvement over the black-and-white fourth-generation iPod released a year before. This remarkable color iPod has either 20 GB or 60 GB storage capacities. With 20 GB and 60 GB storage, it can store up to 5000 songs and 15000 songs, respectively. For navigation, this iPod uses ClickWheel, which makes it simple to use, reliable, and supports the one-handed operation. It features a 2-inch diagonal LCD that supports colors equipped with an LED backlight. The components of this iPod are enclosed in a case design with white color front (like iBook white) and stainless steel back. This iPod features a custom headphone jack that can be used to view photos synchronized with music. It is also capable of displaying images on a TV or projector using an AV cable through the external dock.

The Apple iPod Color Display comes with two storage options including 20 GB and 60 GB. It is capable of storing up to 5000 songs for 20 GB and up to 15000 songs for 60GB in 128-Kbps AAC format. Up to 20000 (20 GB) or 250000 (60 GB) photos can also be stored in different viewable formats in this iPod. This device has 32 MB of SDRAM as well.
Screen Size and Resolution
It has a 2-inch 65,536 color LCD with an LED backlight feature. The display of this iPod delivers 220 x 176 native resolution. The display resolution seems low but it is enough to have a clear photo view. The addition of an LED backlight further enhances the color and provides an easy viewing experience.

The functions of this iPod are powered by an 80 MHz PortalPlayer PP5020 processor.
Battery
The Lithium-Ion battery of this device is responsible for providing up to 15 hours of music playback and up to 5 hours of photo slideshows with music.
