About this Mac
Many changes were made with the MacBook line-up between 2006 – 2008. During this time period Apply released the MacBook featuring a Core 2 Duo 2.26 GHz Intel Processor (P7550). This was the second year that Apple had introduced the NVIDIA GeForce 9400M for its graphics card which replaced the Intel GMA 950 and Intel GMA X3100 processors that had been standard in the earlier versions of the MacBooks. It comes with a white polycarbonate case and carries internal qualities similar to the unibody models that were introduced to the MacBook in 2008.

OS & Processor
This version of the MacBook comes with MacOS X 10.6.1pre-installed and a 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor (P7550). The graphics processor is the NVIDIA GeForce 9400M with 256 MB of DDR2 SDRAM that is shared with the main memory.

Memory & Architecture
This device is powered with a 3 MB Level 2 cache plus a 1066 MHz frontside bus with 2 GB of 1066 MHz DDR3 SDRAM (PC3-8500) for its RAM which is installed as 1 GB RAM with two slots. This is all centered around a 64-Bit architecture.
Upgradeability
This MacBook can be upgraded from 2 GB RAM to up to 8 GB RAM, however, the official recommended amount is 4GB. The entire 8 GB of RAM can be used because Apple upgraded it’s operating system to a 64-Bit architecture.
