The device comes with a 250 GB Serial ATA (5400 rpm) hard drive. It includes a “Sudden Motion Sensor” that was incorporated in the previous MacBooks to ensure the safety of your data.
This MacBook has a 13.3” widescreen that incorporates a TFT active-matrix LED-backlit “glossy” display” to ensure clear visuals from various angles. It features a native 1280×800 resolution along with other options such as 1024×768, 1152×720.
This version of the MacBook comes with MacOS X 10.6.1pre-installed and a 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor (P7550). The graphics processor is the NVIDIA GeForce 9400M with 256 MB of DDR2 SDRAM that is shared with the main memory.
This MacBook houses a 60-watt-hour lithium polymer battery that guarantees 7 hours of battery life.
This device is powered with a 3 MB Level 2 cache plus a 1066 MHz frontside bus with 2 GB of 1066 MHz DDR3 SDRAM (PC3-8500) for its RAM which is installed as 1 GB RAM with two slots. This is all centered around a 64-Bit architecture.
This MacBook can be upgraded from 2 GB RAM to up to 8 GB RAM, however, the official recommended amount is 4GB. The entire 8 GB of RAM can be used because Apple upgraded it’s operating system to a 64-Bit architecture. This eliminated the previous memory overlapcomplications that were common with the 32-Bit versions. The operating system of the MacBook can also be upgraded from its pre-installed MacOS X 10.6.1 to up to the latest versions of MacOS X. It can also run on Windows OS XP SP 2 (32-Bit) and can accommodate operating systems as recent as the Windows 7 (64-Bit). It has dimensions of 1.08 in x 13.00 in x 9.12 in and it weighs a total of 4.7 lbs (2.13 kg) which allows this device to be both powerful and portable.
