This impressive Apple MacBook Air was officially launched on October 30, 2018. This device has powerful specs enclosed in a thin wedge-shaped aluminum case. It comes in three different appealing colors: Gold, Silver, and Space Gray.
This MacBook features a 720p FaceTime webcam which is a high-resolution video camera. It has a Force Touch trackpad that lets you take advantage of added functionality in many apps and system features on your MacBook. A Touch ID scanner is also added on the right side of the function keys that can be used to lock or unlock your Mac quickly.
It also features a remarkable third-gen butterfly backlit keyboard specially designed for its thin body. The 2018 Apple MacBook Air weighs 1.25 kg (2.75 lbs). It supports 802.11ac Wi-Fi connectivity and Bluetooth 4.2 wireless technology. It has dual Thunderbolt 3 ports, two USB 3.1 ports, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack as well.

This MacBook comes with built-in SSD storage capacities of 128 GB or 256 GB. It features a standard 8 GB (2133 MHz) of LPDDR3 SDRAM, which is efficient for longer battery life.
Screen Size and Resolution
This Apple MacBook device features a 13.3-inch LED-backlit Retina display that supports millions of colors. The Retina display of this device is integrated with IPS technology to deliver a native resolution of 2560 x 1600 at 227 ppi.
Processor& Graphics Processing Unit (GPU)
The 2018 Apple MacBook Air is powered by an impressive 1.6 GHz 64-bit Intel Core i5 processor, also known as the Amber Lake Y processor (based on Amber Lake microarchitecture). It is a 14-nm dual-core processor that shares a 4 MB level 3 cache. The Intel UHD Graphics 617 graphics processor is also installed in this device. It does not have a dedicated VRAM so the graphics processor shares 1.5 GB of video memory with the system for video function. This device also has Turbo Boost 2.0 support to increase the processor’s clock speed (up to 3.6 GHz), which helps in achieving improved performance.
This MacBook comes with MacOS X 10.14.1 (18B2084) that is pre-installed on it.

The MacBook Air is equipped with a 32k/32k x2 Level 1 Cache and 256k x2, 4 MB (on-chip) Level 2/Level 3 cache. It also has 8 GB of 2133 MHz LPDDR3 SDRAM on board.
Battery Life
The MacBook Air 2018 is fueled by a Li-Poly 50.3 W h battery providing an estimated battery life of 12-13 hours. The battery life is determined by tasks performed, although Apple claims it can give 12 hours of wireless web use and up to 13 hours of iTunes movie playback. It can also provide a standby time of up to 30 days.
Available Upgrades
This device does not have any unoccupied RAM slots, but it could be configured to 16 GB of motherboard RAM at the time of purchase.
At additional costs, the storage configurations can be equipped with 512 GB or 1.5 TB SSD. The storage is soldered on the board, so it can only be configured at the time of purchase. The pre-installed MacOS on this device can be upgradable to macOS 11 as well.
