What is the moon icon in Control Center?

The Moon icon in Control Center is a toggle for the Do Not Disturb feature on your iPhone. Tapping the icon so it is highlighted will activate the Do Not Disturb feature on your device. When activated Do Not Disturb holds all notifications until you disable it. This allows you to stop your phone from making noise or vibrating when you’re at the movies, a meeting or trying to sleep.
