About this Mac

Many changes were made with the MacBook line-up between 2006 – 2008. During this time period Apply released the MacBook featuring a Core 2 Duo 2.26 GHz Intel Processor (P7550). This was the second year that Apple had introduced the NVIDIA GeForce 9400M for its graphics card which replaced the Intel GMA 950 and Intel GMA X3100 processors that had been standard in the earlier versions of the MacBooks. It comes with a white polycarbonate case and carries internal qualities similar to the unibody models that were introduced to the MacBook in 2008.

Upgradeability

This MacBook can be upgraded from 2 GB RAM to up to 8 GB RAM, however, the official recommended amount is 4GB. The entire 8 GB of RAM can be used because Apple upgraded it’s operating system to a 64-Bit architecture. The operating system of the MacBook can also be upgraded from its pre-installed MacOS X 10.6.1 to up to the latest versions of MacOS X. It can also run on Windows OS XP SP 2 (32-Bit) and can accommodate operating systems as recent as the Windows 7 (64-Bit).
