Apple released the iPad 10th Gen A2777 (Wi-Fi/Cellular, China) on October 18, 2022. This iPad model is specifically sold in mainland China. This iPad features a USB-C port and an upgraded processor, unlike previous iPad models. This iPad model series is considered a low-performing version of the iPad Air 5th Gen. This model supports single physical nano-SIM (no eSIM support).
This 10th Gen iPad has a 3.0 GHz A14 Bionic processor with six cores to deliver high performance and efficiency giving it better performance compared to the iPad 9th Gen. A 4-core graphics processor is also installed in this model to deliver higher graphics quality and a more realistic gameplay experience. This iPad’s CPU and GPU work alongside a 16-core Neural Engine, which is specially designed to accelerate AI and other tasks across the apps.
The iPad A2777 has a 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display with LED-backlit technology. The display of this model provides a native resolution of 2360 x 1640 at 264 ppi and 500 nits peak brightness (typical). The display also supports True Tone for adjusting the display brightness and colors based on the environmental lighting.
The front 12 MP Ultra-Wide camera on the iPad 10th Gen A2777 captures high-quality videos and offers a wider field of view (122-degree). Additionally, this landscape camera has Center Stage technology, which will automatically pan the camera to keep objects in the shot. This iPad has a back 12 MP Wide camera with an f/1.8 aperture and a five-element lens. The rear camera of this model supports digital zoom of up to 5x, autofocus with Focus Pixels, and Panorama support. This camera is capable of 4K video recording at 24 fps, 25 fps, 30 fps, or 60 fps.
A thin black bezel surrounds the display of this iPad. The case is made of aluminum which has flat sides and rounded corners. It has a TouchID sensor on the front to unlock the device. It also supports Apple Pencil (1st Generation) and Smart Connector for a size-specific Apple Magic Keyboard Folio.
This iPad is available in four colors: Silver, Blue, Yellow, or Pink. The iPad A2777 has a light weight of about 1.06 pounds and a thin body (481 g). This model’s measurements are 7.07 inches wide, 9.79 inches tall, and 0.28 inches thick. This iPad has dual-band 802.11ax Wi-Fi 6, HT80 with MIMO support, and Bluetooth 5.2 as connectivity options. It uses a USB-C port (no lightning port) to charge and connect to computers.
It is possible to update iPadOS 16.1 (20B82) to the most recent iOS version. However, it cannot be physically upgraded as it is difficult to integrate all of the components into a single device. Modifications and upgrades are only available at the time of purchase.
