The MacBook Pro (A1398) has different storage options, which include 256 GB, 512 GB, and 768 SSD of 6 Gb/s. As for the BTO options, the storage would usually vary depending upon the stock base configuration when its custom processor was selected. It was considered a vast improvement over its earlier generations. If you are looking for a better version, then ME874LL/A is recommended.

Unlike the ME864LL A,Apple MacBook Pro “Core i7” 2.8 features a 15.4” colored widescreen LED-backlit display with an IPS technology that goes around 2880×1800 native resolution at 220 PPI or 178-degree viewing angle. This model flaunts a bright, sharp, and vibrant screen stapled as a part of the Apple products’ reputation.
Processor& Graphics Processing Unit (GPU)
This MacBook Pro comes with a pre-installed MacOS X 10.8.2 (12C3103), 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7 3840QM (Ivy Bridge) processor and dual graphics processors – a NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M with 1 GB of dedicated GDDR5 memory and an “integrated” Intel HD Graphics 4000 graphics processor that shares system memory.

Any application installed on this MacBook Pro is guaranteed to run faster with its 256k level 2 cache and an 8 MB Level 3 chance plus a 5 GT/s front-side bus with 8 GB or 16 GB of onboard 1600 MHz DDR3L SDRAM for its RAM. It operates on the 64-Bit architecture.
The 64-Bit is capable of many things. It can store more computational values, making it highly functional and efficient. Since this has a larger RAM, it is responsive to upgraded versions of operating systems.
Battery Life
The Apple MacBook Pro 15 inch has a 95-watt-hour lithium-polymer battery that provides 7 hours of wireless web use according to the test done by Apple. This battery is attached to a permanent place and cannot be upgraded even after the initial purchase.
Upgradability
The company opened a build-to-order option to upgrade the system memory of this unit. By default, the A1398 has the pre-installed MacOS X 10.8.2 (12C3103), and it is upgradeable to the current macOS X. This can also host the Windows OS 7 (32-Bit) and accommodate an operating system that is as high as the Windows 8.1 (64-Bit). This MacBook Pro has dimensions of 0.71 x 14.13 x 9.73 in and a weight of 4.46 lbs or 2.02 kg, unlike the ME665LL A that is 4.5 lbs.
