Apple launched the Mac Pro 28-Core 2.5 GHz Rack model on June 3, 2019. This model has identical internals to its tower variant but has a different Rack-Mountable case design. These models are more expensive than their tower counterparts, with the capability to slide into a 5U rack.
The Apple Mac Pro 28-core (2019) features an Intel Xeon W (3275M) processor with 28 cores, multithreading support, and a base clock speed of 2.5 GHz (boostable to 4.4 GHz with Turbo Boost). It features a 66.5 MB cache and a T2 security chip. It includes an AMD Radeon Pro W5500X graphics card with 8 GB GDDR6 memory, 32 GB DDR4 ECC RAM (2933 MHz), and a 512 GB SSD (3.4 GB/s). This model also allows users to upgrade RAM and add more storage.
This Mac Pro 2019 model comes with a sleek Magic Keyboard and Magic Mouse 2, with an option for Magic Trackpad 2, offering smooth input options for users. It offers multiple connectivity options: 2 USB 3.0, 4 Thunderbolt 3, 2 HDMI 2.0, 2 10 Gb Ethernet, and a headphone jack. Storage & Memory
This Mac Pro has 32 GB of RAM that can be upgraded to a maximum of 1.5 TB. It comes with a default storage of 256 GB or 512 GB SSD, which can be configured to higher capacities of 1 TB, 2 TB, 4 TB, or 8 TB by adding additional SSD modules of 512 GB, 1 TB, 2 TB, or 4 TB, respectively. Initially, this model was equipped with AMD Radeon Pro 580X graphics with 8 GB of GDDR5 memory as the default, with a maximum VRAM of 64 GB, but it was later updated to AMD Radeon Pro W5500X with 8 GB of GDDR6 memory, starting on July 1, 2020.
Screen Size and Resolution
The original configuration of this Mac Pro came with the AMD Radeon Pro 580X GPU, which could support a maximum of six 4K displays, two 5K displays, or two Pro Display XDRs with a resolution of 6K. However, on March 8, 2022, Apple changed the standard graphics to the AMD Radeon Pro W5500X, which can support up to four 4K displays, one 5K display, or one Pro Display XDR.

This Mac Pro comes with Mac OS X 10.15.1 (19B88) pre-installed and is powered by a high-performance 28-Core Intel Xeon W (3275M) processor with a clock speed of 2.5 GHz and a turbo boost of 4.4 GHz. A T2 security chip secures it.
Memory & Architecture
This Mac Pro model operates with 32 GB of 2933 MHz DDR4 ECC memory, which can be upgraded to a maximum of 1.5 TB. It uses a 64-bit architecture, as with the previous model.
Upgradability
This Mac Pro model comes with 32 GB of default RAM. It can be upgraded to 1.5 TB. The Mac OS X 10.15.1 (19B88) operating system can also be upgraded to the latest version, macOS Ventura (macOS 13), except for a few minor features such as Live Captions in FaceTime, Emoji Dictation and Reference Mode with Sidecar. The Mac Pro is also capable of running Windows 10 (64-Bit).
This model comes with a Rack Mountable case design with dimensions of 8.67 x 18.98 x 21.24 inches and a weight of 38.8 lbs. (17.6 kg).
