About This iPad
The iPad Air was created with an “Air” feel in mind when compared to the size of the traditional iPad versions – it was designed 20% thinner and 28% lighter than the iPad 3rd and 4th generations. This model along with a1474 and a1475 also had casing options in white, silver and, space grey. Even though it was made smaller, it was still able to carry out both creative and consumption tasks and its “Air” feel was an advantage. Apple was able not to sacrifice any of the functionality in the device previously seen from the original iPad line-up.

Storage & Memory
The iPad Air came with a 1 GB RAM and had options that came with 16, 32, 64 or 128 GB of storage. All storage options are curtesy of Apple’s flash storage chips.
Screen Size and Resolution
The iPad Air had a 9.7 inch IPS LED-backlit “retina” display that supported a native resolution of 2048×1536 (264 ppi). It featured both a front 1.2 Megapixel “FaceTime HD” camera of and a rear 5 megapixel “iSight” camera.
OS & Processor
The iPad Air came with iOS 7.1 (11D167) for its operating system. It was powered by a custom developed 1.4 GHz dual-core Apple A7 processor.
Battery
The iPad Air was equipped with a Lithium Polymer battery that supported up to 9-10 hours of surfing of the web on Wi-Fi, watching a video, or listening to music and hours surfing the web using cellular data network. There was no official report on the amount of standby time that the battery could support.
Upgradability
The Operating System installed on the tablet could be upgraded from iOS 7.1 (11D167) to iOS 12.5.5. However, no physical upgradability was present in the device due to the complex nature of fitting all components into such a compact form.
