The iMac featured a 20 inch screen with TFT active matrix LCD display and a native resolution of 1680×1050.
The iMac had Mac OS X 10.4.4 (8G1165) pre-installed on it. This was the first iMac to be powered by an Intel “Core Duo” processor with a processing speed of 2.0 GHz. Its graphics processor was the ATI Radeon X1600 graphics with 128 MB of GDDR3 memory.
The device was built with 2 MB on-chip level 2 cache with a frontside bus of 667 MHz and with 512 MB of 667 MHz PC2-5300 DDR2 SDRAM for its RAM.
Although the iMac came with 512 MB of RAM it could be upgraded up to 2 GB of RAM.
The Operating System of the iMac can also be upgraded from its pre-installed Mac OS X 10.4.4 (8G1165) up to MacOS X 10.6.8. This iMac was also able to act as a host to Windows OS, mainly being Windows XP SP2 (32-Bit) and more recently Windows 7 (32-Bit).
