The Apple Watch Hermès Series 9 is a luxurious blend of Apple’s technology and Hermès’ distinctive style, building upon the legacy established since their partnership in 2015. This particular model retains the core features of the standard Apple Watch Series 9, including the 41 mm stainless steel casing and the 352×430 LTPO OLED Always-On display, but with exclusive enhancements that set it apart.         

One of the unique aspects of the Apple Watch Hermès Series 9 is its custom packaging, model-specific watch faces, and software tweaks, which are not found in other Apple Watch models. The Hermès Radial watch face is a notable addition, inspired by Cape Cod’s nautical flair, featuring numerals that light up as the hour hand passes, reminiscent of guiding stars in the night sky​​​​.   

The Series 9 also introduces a new processor and a brighter display compared to its predecessor, the Series 8. It supports a new gesture – the Double Tap – which allows users to interact with the watch in a more convenient manner. For example, double tapping the home screen brings up the Smart Stack, and subsequent taps can scroll through widgets. This gesture also triggers primary actions in different apps, such as starting or pausing a timer, snoozing alarms, playing music, or replying to messages​​.       

Siri’s capabilities have been improved with on-device processing, enabling faster responses and the ability to process requests even when offline or disconnected from an iPhone. This is especially useful for health data queries, such as asking about sleep duration or step count​​.  

The Hermès Series 9 bands reflect a sporty yet elegant design, drawing inspiration from Hermès’ equestrian roots. The Bridon band, for instance, is a multi-hued knitted strap reminiscent of equestrian bridles, available in various colors like navy, oxblood, and crimson. The collection also includes the Toile H and Twill Jump bands, showcasing a sophisticated webbing weave, and the Kilim band made of rubber, featuring a braided design. ​
