The Apple Watch Hermes (Series 9) is the result of Apple’s collaboration with the French luxury brand Hermes. It offers a premium experience with a 45 mm stainless steel case and a stunning “Always On” 396×484 LTPO OLED display covered with a protective “Sapphire crystal” layer. This luxurious timepiece comes with custom packaging, model-specific watch faces, and software tweaks, elevating the overall experience.           

The Series 9 models share many similarities with their predecessor, the Series 8. However, they come equipped with a new Apple S9 processor, a brighter display, support for a “magical new double tap gesture,” and enhanced Siri capabilities. These watches can function independently, connecting to the Internet without needing a tethered iPhone, but they are optimized for use with an iPhone XS or later running iOS 17 or later for certain functions.   

Controlled by a Digital Crown with haptic feedback and a touch-capable display, these watches maintain the classic Apple Watch user interface. They also feature a ceramic and sapphire crystal back for charging purposes.        

Battery life on the Series 9 is estimated at “up to 18 hours” with moderate use, but it can be extended to up to 36 hours with the “Low Power Mode,” which disables the Always-On Display and certain other functions. 

The 45 mm Apple Watch Hermes (Series 9) is available in two housing colors: silver Stainless Steel and “Space Black” Stainless Steel. Additionally, there are various band options, with an emphasis on cloth or rubber materials when purchased from Apple, though leather bands are available from Hermes. Some options include a Space Black Stainless Steel case with a “Bridon Single Tour” Band and a silver Stainless Steel case with a “Toile H Single Tour” Band. The black-housing models also come with a black Hermes Sport Band, while the silver-housing models include an orange Hermes Sport Band.
