Apple launched the Apple Watch Series 8 Hermes 45 mm model on September 7, 2022. This model is currently available globally except in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, and China. This model shares several common features with its predecessors, Series 7, and comes with custom packaging, model-specific watch faces, and software tweaks. This model has additional features, including temperature sensors for expanded health monitoring and Crash detection. It must be connected to an iPhone 8 or later (with iOS16 or later) to use the Internet and perform some additional functions.

This Apple Watch model features a 45 mm case size with a roughly 1.9-inch Always-On Retina LTPO OLED display. It provides a resolution of 396 x 484 and 1000 nits brightness level. The display is protected by a Sapphire crystal cover. The back side that connects to the charger is also made of ceramic and Sapphire crystal.

It has 32 GB of internal flash storage, 1 GB of RAM, and a Digital Crown with haptic feedback for easy navigation. The device has a built-in rechargeable Li-Ion battery that provides a battery life of 18 hours and can last up to 36 hours when Low Power Mode is enabled.

The device is available in two stainless steel housings, either silver Stainless Steel or Space Black Stainless Steel, with various band options.
