Apple unveiled the Apple Watch Series 8 – A2857 on September 7, 2022. This cellular model is only available for purchase in mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau. This model is nearly identical to its predecessor (Apple Watch Series 7). This model also has additional features, including an improved gyroscope, a temperature sensor for expanded health monitoring, Crash detection for car crashes, and a Low Power option for extended battery life. Apple also claimed that the S8 processor of this device delivers 20% more performance than the S5 processor. This model comes in both aluminum and stainless steel casings. It must be connected to an iPhone 8 or later (with iOS16 or later) to use the Internet and perform additional functions.

The Apple Watch Series 8 – A2875 model has a 41 mm case size and a 1.8-inch Always-On Retina LTPO OLED display. It is a touch-capable display that delivers a resolution of 352 x 430. The display area of this device is 904 square mm with rounded corners. The front is covered with either Ion-X glass (aluminum case) or Sapphire crystal (stainless steel case) for scratch resistance. The backside of this model uses Sapphire crystal which connects to the charger.

This Apple Watch model comes with 1 GB RAM and 32 GB internal flash storage and haptic feedback for the Digital Crown, which gives users a more tactile experience as they scroll through content. Apple claims that the battery life of this device is 18 hours, depending on the mode of usage.

This Apple Watch is available in four colors for its aluminum case: warm Gray Starlight, nearly black Midnight, Silver, and (PRODUCT) RED. It also comes in three stainless steel options: Gold, Graphite, and Silver.
