The Apple TV 4K (2021, A12, Silver Siri Remote) was released in May 2021, and this 2021 edition represents the 2nd generation Apple TV 4K. Compared to the previous (A10) generation, it runs on the faster A12 Bionic chip, which should boost the processing of audio and video signals. The storage options have not been changed from the 32GB and 64GB options, mainly due to the unit’s designation as a streaming device and the lack of a need for a storage boost. According to innovative color balance technology, the color balance and the TV’s picture quality can be automatically adjusted using the mobile’s light sensor.

The Siri Remote was redesigned with a new silver aluminum finish and shape for more comfortable use. Siri’s voice control can be used to search and activate many functions, and this Apple TV 4K A12 unit is much more than just a streaming box. It can support 4K (2160p, 60 fps) and HDR (High Dynamic Range) movies when connected to a capable television. Supported audio formats are also HE-AAC (V1), AAC (up to 320 Kbps), protected AAC, MP3 (up to 320 Kbps), MP3 VBR, Apple Lossless, FLAC, AIFF, and WAV; AC-3 (Dolby Digital 5.1), E-AC-3 (Dolby Digital Plus 7.1 surround sound), and Dolby Atmos. Supported photo formats are HEIF, JPEG, GIF, and TIFF.
