Apple launched the iPad Pro M4 11-inch (Wi-Fi+Cellular) on May 7, 2024. This model features an advanced 11-inch “Tandem OLED” backlit display with a resolution of 2420×1668 pixels, delivering 264 ppi. The Ultra Retina XDR display supports HDR content with a peak brightness of 1600 nits, offering vibrant visuals and exceptional clarity. The slim case design, available in silver and Space Black, includes thin black bezels and flat sides, creating a sleek and modern look.   

The iPad Pro M4 is powered by a 4.4 GHz Apple M4 processor, equipped with a 10-core GPU and a 16-core Neural Engine, providing a memory bandwidth of 120 GB/s. Depending on the storage configuration, the device offers 8 GB of RAM for 256 GB and 512 GB models, and 16 GB of RAM for 1 TB and 2 TB models. These higher storage options also feature a 10-core CPU with an additional performance core for enhanced processing power.       

Connectivity options for this model include a Thunderbolt/USB 4 port, supporting external keyboards and trackpads through the Smart Connector, and the new Apple Pencil Pro, which offers advanced interaction features like squeeze, barrel roll, and haptic feedback. The Apple Pencil Pro charges magnetically on the side of the iPad.       

The iPad Pro M4 is equipped with a landscape-oriented 12-megapixel TrueDepth front camera, which supports Face ID and the Center Stage feature, automatically adjusting to keep subjects in the frame. The rear camera system includes a 12-megapixel Wide camera capable of shooting 4K video. The LiDAR scanner enhances augmented reality experiences and depth sensing capabilities.      

In terms of wireless connectivity, the iPad Pro M4 supports simultaneous dual-band Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) with 2×2 MIMO and Bluetooth 5.3. The audio system comprises a four-speaker setup and a studio-quality four-mic array, ensuring clear sound for calls and recordings.   

The iPad Pro M4 offers impressive battery life, with up to 10 hours of web surfing on Wi-Fi or video playback, and up to 9 hours on cellular data. The device utilizes a software-based eSIM for carrier switching, eliminating the need for a physical SIM slot in most regions.        

Compared to its predecessor, the iPad Pro M4 11-inch (Wi-Fi+Cellular) is thinner, faster, and boasts a higher quality display. Notable improvements include the landscape-oriented front camera and support for the new Apple Pencil Pro. However, it lacks the Ultra Wide rear camera found in previous models and has one fewer internal microphone. Additionally, the cellular model no longer supports mmWave 5G in the US. 

With dimensions of 9.83 x 6.99 x 0.21 inches and a weight of 0.98 lbs (446 g), the iPad Pro M4 is highly portable and versatile. It runs on iPadOS 17.5 and supports up to 4K AirPlay for mirroring and video output. The package includes a USB-C Charge Cable and a 20W USB-C power adapter, making it ready for use out of the box.
