This iMac was launched officially by Apple on April 20, 2021. It is among the first iMac series to have an M1 chip as its CPU. This 2021 iMac model is a high-performing device with an excellent display making it an ideal iMac for professionals. It is powered by Apple’s powerful 64-bit 5 nm M1 processor featuring 8 cores (4 Performance cores and 4 efficiency cores) which makes it significantly faster than the 2020 iMac models.

The internal architect also includes an 8-core GPU with a 16-core Neural Engine to further increase its productivity. It has onboard 8 GB RAM along with standard 256 GB SSD storage to store and access your data quickly. This iMac uses a thin aluminum case with flat edges. The available colors for this model include blue, green, pink, yellow, orange, and purple. A silver color variant is also available for this model. 

Its display size is 23.5-inch. It is a 4.5K Retina display that is LED-backlit and True Tone compatible. All this is balanced on a slim, svelte aluminum stand. A 1080p FaceTime HD webcam is installed on the top of the display for better-quality video calls.

It also features a studio-quality three-mic array for crystal-clear sound recording and voice calls. A high-fidelity six-speaker system is also integrated into this model that supports Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos to give you a more immersive listening experience.

This iMac model is accompanied by a default wireless Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and a wireless Magic Mouse with multi-touch surface support. This model features a bundle of ports, including 2 Thunderbolt ports (USB 4 ports), 2 USB 3 ports (with USB-C connector), and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Other connectivity includes Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11ax Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.0 standard.  

This model’s RAM and internal storage space are upgradeable only at the time of purchase. The RAM can be upgraded to 16 GB, and the storage can be upgraded up to 2 TB SSD. The macOS is fully compatible with the latest macOS and originally came with macOS 11.3. The keyboard and mouse are also upgradeable (Magic Keyboard with Touch ID, Numeric Keypad, and Magic Trackpad).
