Midway through 2010, Apple introduced a new MacBook Pro line-up powered by Core 2 Duo (P8600) processors. Some of the main features of this MacBook Pro include that it comes with two graphics processors built-in. The NVIDIA GeForce 320M provides better graphics and Intel HD Graphics provides better battery life. The switch between the two is determined by the operating system depending on what applications are in use. A turbo boost for the processor speed is also supported on this system when there is a significant workload. It is a device of high quality. Further device specifications and capabilities for this MacBook Pro can be found below.
The standard storage for this particular MacBook Pro is a 250GB HDD. By custom configuration, this model could be equipped with a 320 GB or 500 GB Serial ATA hard drive.
Techable offers customizable 2010 MacBook Pro 13″ 2.4GHz with up to a 2TB SSD.
This version of the MacBook Pro comes in with a 13.3 inch screen, but also has a customizable display. The default display is the TFT active-matrix “glossy” display (1280×800 native resolution).
The MacBook Pro comes pre-installed with MacOS X 10.6.3 (10D2125) and standard with a 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor (P8600). It also has a NVIDIA GeForce 320M GT graphics processor with 256 MB of DDR3 SDRAM.
Applications run smoothly due to the 3 MB of Level 2 cache plus a 1066 MHz frontside bus with 4 GB of 1066 MHz DDR3 SDRAM (PC3-8500). All of this is centered on a 64-Bit architecture.
The MacBook Pro comes with a 63.5-watt-hour lithium polymer battery that provides 10 hours of wireless use. This battery configuration is the now common non-swappable type that is noted in more recent models.
This MacBook Pro can be upgraded from 4 GB RAM to 16 GB RAM. Many individuals noted that more than 4 GB of RAM would be beneficial when using this MacBook Pro. The operating system of the MacBook Pro can also be upgraded from its pre-installed MacOS X 10.6.3 (10D2125) to up to MacOS X 10.13.x. It can also be a host to Windows OS XP SP 2 (32-Bit) and accommodates operating systems as recent as the Windows 8.1 (64-Bit). This MacBook Pro comes with dimensions of 0.95 x 12.78 x 8.94 in and a weight of 4.5 lbs (2.04 kg).
