In short, No.
I’ve just built a desk with a glass top and the mouse doesn’t work on either the clear or frosted section. I’ve read things that say they do, but mine most certainly is not.
Perhaps different thicknesses of glass disrupt the laser more/less severely. My top is 6mm; if anyone has any comparisons?
