About this iPad Pro
The iPad Pro 12.9-inch (Wi-Fi/Cell US – 6th Gen) was introduced on October 18, 2022. This version is sold only in the United States but is compatible with carriers worldwide. This model features software-based eSIM and a nano-SIM slot for physical SIM. Compared to its predecessors, this iPad Pro model features a faster processor and GPU, faster Wi-Fi, ProRes video capture, and the new Hover feature for Apple Pencil.
Apple introduced its latest 64-bit 5 nm processor, the M2 processor in this iPad Pro model. This processor has eight cores featuring a 3.49 GHz clock speed. Apple also installed a 10-core GPU in the internal architecture capable of handling graphics-intensive tasks. The latest 16-core Neural Engine helps accelerate this iPad’s machine learning tasks. This model features a memory bandwidth of 100 GB/s.
The iPad Pro A2764 features a large 12.9-inch Liquid Retina XDR display that delivers a display resolution of 2732 x 2048 at 264 ppi. It has a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1 with 1000 nits full-screen brightness and 1600 nits peak HDR brightness. Apple added features to this model’s display, including mini-LED backlit and ProMotion technologies that result in excellent visuals.
The iPad Pro A2764 has a single 12 MP TrueDepth front camera and two rear cameras, known as Pro Camera System. The 12 MP TrueDepth camera is positioned in front that supports FaceID recognition. Additionally, it features the “Center Stage” feature, which automatically pans and zooms the items on the screen while recording videos up to 1080p. The front camera has an f/2.4 aperture and a 122-degree field of view. The Pro Camera System features one 10 MP Ultra-Wide angle camera with f/2.4 aperture and a 125-degree field of view. It is used to capture still images and 4K videos and also supports a LiDAR scanner. The second camera on the backside is a 12 MP wide-angle camera with an f/1.8 aperture with a wide range of view.
This model supports Apple Pencil 2nd-Gen (A2051, MU8F2AM/A) that is charged magnetically. Apple added a new Hover feature in this model that projects the Apple pencil before reaching the display. This iPad Pro also supports external trackpads and keyboards.
A thin black bezel encircles the screen on this iPad Pro. This iPad Pro model has flat sides, rounded edges, and a slim case. For the back, there is an option to choose a color between darker Space Gray or Silver color.
There is also an option to upgrade RAM from 8 GB to 16 GB (8 GB for 128, 256, or 512 GB storage and 16 GB for 1 TB or 2 TB storage).
This iPad Pro model has Thunderbolt/USB 4, dual-band 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6E) with 2×2 MIMO, and Bluetooth 5.3 as its connectivity options. It also features five microphones and a four-speaker system.

The display’s contrast ratio is 1,000,000:1. Additionally, this model supports wide color P3, True Tone, and ProMotion technology (automatically adjusts the display refresh rate up to 120 Hz). Reference Mode is compatible with the display for more accurate colors. The display of this iPad Pro model has an antireflective and fingerprint oleophobic-resistant coating to guard against scratches. There is no Home button on this model.

Additionally, a 10-core graphics processor performs all graphical functions for this iPad Pro. It has a 16-core Neural Engine (capable of performing 15.8 trillion operations per second), which enables it to function more effectively while consuming less battery life. It has 100 GB/s memory bandwidth.
This iPad Pro is fully compatible with the latest iPadOS (iPadOS 16).
