The iPhone 14 Plus A2888 model was officially introduced on September 7, 2022. This model is intended for sale in China mainland, Hong Kong, and Macao. It also supports other carriers all over the globe. This model lacks eSIM compatibility but supports dual physical nano SIM.

The CPU of this model is Apple’s A15 Bionic chip (reused from iPhone 13). This 3.2 GHz processor features six cores (two performance and four efficiency cores). The hybrid cores of this processor bring processing speed and power efficiency in one place. Apple introduced a 5-core GPU in this model that delivers massive graphics performance. The machine learning tasks like image processing, language analysis, and sound classification are supported by a 16-core Neural Engine.  

The iPhone 14 Plus A2888 features a brighter and bigger 6.7-inch (diagonal) Super Retina XDR display. It is a high-resolution display with OLED technology that delivers a 2778 x 1284-pixel resolution at 458 ppi. The display of this model can reach a peak brightness of 800 nits. The contrast ratio is 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio.

This model has three cameras: two on the back and one on the front. The dual rear cameras are 12 MP Main and 12 MP Ultra-Wide. Both cameras feature a large aperture and are equipped with Photonic Engine and Deep Fusion to perform excellently in low-light photography. These cameras also support Smart HDR 4 for image optimization, Night mode for dark images, and Cinematic video stabilization to record stable, high-quality videos. The front camera is known as the TrueDepth camera. It is a 12 MP camera that is not only used for FaceID recognition but also shoots 4K videos at up to 60 fps.      

The case is made of aluminum with glass front and back. A durable Ceramic Shield protects the display of this model. The backside of this phone also has a MagSafe wireless magnetic charging connection. This model is sold in five different colors: Midnight, Purple, Starlight, (PRODUCT)Red, and Blue. 

The connectivity options of the iPhone 14 Plus A2888 are 802.11ax Wi-Fi 6 with 2×2 MIMO, 5G wireless, Gigabit LTE with 4×4 MIMO, Bluetooth 5.3, Ultra Wideband chip for spatial awareness, NFC with reader mode, and Express Cards with power reserve. A Crash Detection system is also introduced in this model that enables Emergency SOS via satellite.
