About this iPhone

The iPhone 12 model A2402 was introduced in October 2020 to be sold in the Canadian and Japanese markets. This iPhone has the new Apple A14 Bionic chip running 64 bits at a 3.0 GHz frequency. When it appeared, there was a significant difference with previous Apple processors.

It offers improved graphic and computational performance compared to its predecessor, the A13 Bionic chip, and brings a more powerful 16-core Neural Engine.

The internal RAM for this iPhone is 4GB, and it comes with additional storage options of 64 GB, 128 GB, or 256 GB. The operating system is IOS 15. The display uses OLED technology and offers XDR Super Retina features. Compared to the previous technologies used for smartphones, this one offers colors that look more natural and produces images with a 1170×2532 pixel resolution, or 460 ppi, with improved brightness.

This model has two cameras on the back and one on the front. The front camera is a “TrueDepth” device, and it takes 12-megapixel photos, shoots 4K video, and is used for advanced face identification (Face ID). Also, it can make 1080p HD video recordings with ƒ/2.2 aperture, wide color capture, Retina Flash, and enables Portrait options, such as Depth Control and Portrait Lighting, which have six effects: Natural, Contour, Stage, Studio, Mono, and High-Key.

There is a dual-camera system on the back, with a Wide and an Ultra-wide camera (120 degrees of view angle). Those two cameras produce important image information, that can be processed to improve one image, thanks to computational photography capability. All cameras can take 12-megapixel photos with H.264 and HEVC supported video formats. Except for the HDR video recording with Dolby Vision, the 4K, 1080p, and 720p HD recordings are supported with image stabilization.

The phone is splash, water, and dust resistant according to the IP68 ratings, and it can be submerged into 6 meters deep water for up to 30 minutes without damage.

The phone comes with case colors such as red, white, black, green, and purple, and its cover is made of a durable ceramic material that can prevent scratches during normal phone usage.
