The Apple Watch Series 5 is only a minor update from the previous generation. This Nike+ variant features a series of visual customizations via new band options. The visual options include a Silver housing with a Blue Royal Pulse Nike Band, a Pure Platinum Nike Band, a Lava Glow Nike Loop, a Pink Blast/True Berry Nike Loop, a Desert Sand/Volt Nike Loop, or a Summit White Nike Loop. If the Space Gray housing is chosen it can be optioned with a Desert Sand/Black Nike Band, a Black/Pink Blast Nike Band, an Anthracite/Black Nike Band, or a Black Nike Loop. The watch features double the storage capacity at 32 GB of flash storage as well as a faster process. The Apple S5 processor features 2 cores and 1 GB of ram. While the majority of the watch has stayed the same, the new series 5 adds an emergency calling feature for emergencies. Both battery life and the screen specifications have remained the same from the previous generation.  

This device does not have it’s own cellular device connection and requires an iPhone to be tethered in order to connect to the internet. If required, other devices within this series do offer standalone cellular capabilities that do not require the user to be tethered to an iPhone.
