The Apple Watch Series 4 is very similar to previous devices in its line-up but features larger screens and a few upgraded components that improve the functionality and features of the watch. The Series 4 has larger screen sizes of 40 mm and 44 mm, allowing for more internal space inside the watch and more screen area for apps to use. This model does not have cellular capabilities but does feature GPS tracking.

Apple decided to focus on health with this device. This was emphasized by the new accelerometer and gyroscope used to detect when a user has a fall. The heart rate monitor already tracks sudden spikes or irregular patterns and warns users of the risk of a stroke. Apple introduced an electrical heart sensor(ECG) into the Series 4 watch. This single pulse electrical heart sensor can detect signs of atrial fibrillation and alter the user.

The series 4 Hermès is similar to the previous models as it is part of Apple’s high-end line of watches. It represents a collaboration between Apple and the famous French luxury brand Hermès. The case is made of stainless steel, and a layer of sapphire crystal protects the OLED screen. The device features 4 unique watch faces: Clipper, Cape Cod, Espace, and Carrick. The watch also features unique bands created in collaboration with Hermès and is presented in custom packaging. In addition to the custom watch faces, the series 4 Hermès also features new watch faces to match each color of the Hermès bands.
