Apple officially launched the 10.9-inch iPad 10th Gen (Wi-Fi Only) on October 18, 2022. This latest iPad model features a bigger display, improved cameras, and a modern design. Unlike previous iPad models, this iPad’s lightning port is converted into a USB-C port.

The processing power of this device comes from the Apple A14 Bionic chip with six cores. Apple also integrated a 4-core GPU with the CPU for rendering high-quality graphics which gives it better performance compared to the iPad 9th Gen. This iPad has built-in 4 GB RAM. It comes with either 64 GB or 256 GB of flash storage capacities. A 16-core Neural Engine is also installed to make the device work more efficiently with less battery draining.

The iPad 10th Gen 2022 (Wi-Fi Only) has a 10.9-inch LED-backlit Liquid Retina display. It delivers a display resolution of 2360 x 1640 at 265 ppi with 500 nits brightness. The display of this model comes with True Tone support to make images appear more natural in different lighting situations. This iPad’s display lacks ProMotion technology and compatibility with Wide Color (P3). The display is covered with fingerprint oleophobic coating to repel and eliminate fingerprint oils that smudge on the screen.

The iPad 10th Gen A2696 has a front 12 MP Ultra-Wide camera that shoots excellent quality videos and provides a greater field of view. It is also equipped with Center Stage technology that helps to keep objects in the frame. It also has a back 12 MP Wide camera that takes high-resolution photos and shoots 4K videos.

The display of this model has a thin black bezel surrounding it. This model features a thin aluminum case with flat sides and rounded corners. It is available in four color options: Silver, Blue, Yellow, or Pink. It has a Touch ID sensor for unlocking the device and performing other actions. This model also supports Apple Pencil and Smart Connector for a size-specific Apple Magic Keyboard Folio.  

The iPad A2696 has a thin body and weighs around 1.05 pounds (477 g). The dimensions of this model are 7.07 inches (width), 9.79 inches (height), and 0.28 inches (depth). The connectivity options for this iPad include dual-band 802.11ax Wi-Fi 6, HT80 with MIMO support, and Bluetooth 5.2. It is charged and connected to computers via a USB-C port.

The tablet’s operating system could be updated from iPadOS 16.1 (20B82) to the current iOS. However, the device does not feature any physical upgradeability due to the difficulty to integrate all of the components into a single device. Modifications and upgrades can only be done at the time of purchase.
