About this iPad Pro

Apple launched the iPad Pro A2766 on October 18, 2022. This model is only available for sale in mainland China.

It has a sim slot for physical nano-SIM but lacks eSIM compatibility. Compared to its 5th Gen predecessor, this model features the same display size and cameras. However, Apple added a faster CPU, GPU with more cores, faster WiFi, improved Bluetooth, ProRes video capture, and Apple’s all-new Hover feature for Apple Pencil.

The iPad Pro A2766 features Apple’s 64-bit M2 processor. This processor has eight cores with a clock speed of 3.49 GHz. Additionally, Apple added a 10-core GPU in the internals with the ability to handle graphics-intensive tasks. The latest 16-core Neural Engine accelerates machine learning tasks on this iPad Pro. This model features 100 GB/s memory bandwidth.

This iPad Pro has a 12.9-inch Liquid Retina XDR display with a mini LED-backlit feature. This display’s native resolution is 2732 x 2048 at 264 pixels per inch. It is an anti-reflective display that is fully laminated and offers a smooth touch experience.

It also supports True Tone, Wide-color (P3), and Apple ProMotion technology for adjustable frame rates up to 120 Hz. The display’s contrast ratio is 1,000,000:1. Additionally, this model’s display has 600 nits peak SDR, 1000 nits peak full-screen, and 1600 nits peak HDR brightness.

A Pro Camera system with a 12 MP Wide-Angle and 10 MP Ultra-Wide Angle camera is located on the rear of this iPad Pro. The 125-degree field of view, f/2.4 aperture, and LiDAR scanner of the 10 MP Ultra-Wide angle camera allow it to capture 4K films and still images. The device’s secondary camera on the back is a 12 MP wide-angle camera with an f/1.8 aperture and a wide field of view.

The iPad Pro A2766 has a single 12 MP TrueDepth front camera. The front-facing 12 MP TrueDepth camera facilitates FaceID recognition. It also supports the “Center Stage” feature, which automatically pans and zooms the objects on the screen when capturing videos up to 1080p. The front camera features a 122-degree field of view and an f/2.4 aperture.

Additional features of this model are a LiDAR scanner, Apple Pencil 2nd-Gen (A2051, MU8F2AM/A) magnetically charged, external keyboards, and trackpads.

A thin black bezel surrounds the screen. This model has rounded corners with flat sides. The back side of this unit comes in Silver or a darker Space Gray color.

This iPad Pro model supports two RAM configurations: 8 GB and 16 GB. This device has storage options of 128 GB, 256 GB, or 512 GB with 8 GB of RAM. For storage capacities of 1 TB or 2 TB, this variant can also be configured with 16 GB of RAM. The upgrades for this model are only possible at the time of purchase.

This model comes with the pre-installed iPadOS 16.1 (20B82).
