Apple continued the production of the MacBook Pro model a1398 in mid-2014 by introducing the MacBook Pro Retina Display with a Core i7 processor with 16 GB of onboard 1600 MHz DDR3L SDRAM and 256 GB of PCIe-based flash storage. MacBook Pro with Retina Display models combines a beautiful high-resolution LED-backlit 15.4″ widescreen 2880×1800 “retina” display with a thin, sleek case design.

Storage

The storage type is either a 256 GB of PCIe-based flash storage. This is a vast improvement from the hard drives which are used in previous generations. The flash storage while faster, is still being used in today’s models and stands to be one of the fastest storage devices available.

The MacBook pro 2014 15 inch Retina display comes with a high resolution (2880×1800) LED-backlit widescreen that is the default for the screen type and resolution in this model.
