The Mac Mini is the first BYODKM – Bring Your Own Display Keyboard and Mouse device that was created by Apple. It is able to provide a relatively cheap device to people who wanted to experience the feel of a Mac while leaving them in the comfort of a preferred display and input options from third parties. The price point also makes the device accessible to a wider range of individuals, consider this device as the entry level into the brand. The Mac Mini (G4) released in 2005 includes USB 2.0, FireWire, headphone/line-out jack, 8X “Combo Drive” with optional support for Airport Extreme and Bluetooth 1.1.
