The iPad Mini 6th-Gen a2568 was officially launched on 14 September 2021. This model supports Wi-Fi and Cellular networking. It supports GPS/GNSS and 5G NR cellular networking, but it does not support 5G NR mmWave, bands n258 (26 GHz), n260 (39 GHz), and n261 (28 GHz).
This 6th-Gen iPad Mini model is smaller and lighter than the 5th-Gen iPad Mini. Apple introduced the A15 Bionic chip in this iPad Mini, a 2.9 GHz processor with 6 cores.
This iPad Mini features an 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display. The display of this iPad Mini is fully-laminated and antireflective with an LED-backlit feature. The front camera of this iPad Mini is a 12 MP center stage Ultra-wide camera known as FaceTime HD camera that is responsible for FaceID recognition. It provides a 122-degree field of view that shoots up to 1080p video. This iPad Mini has a 12 MP camera on its backside. This iPad Mini’s rear-mounted 12 MP camera can shoot 4K video with cinematic video stabilization.
This iPad Mini features a Touch ID sensor for un/locking the device using the fingerprint. It comes with a 2nd Gen Apple Pencil (A2051, MU8F2AM/A) charged with a magnetic connection.
This model is available in four metallic colors – Charcoal “Space Gray,” Pink, Purple, and warm gray “Starlight.”. This 6th-Gen 8.3-inch iPad Mini has rounded corners and flat sides with a light design. It weighs around 0.66 pounds. (297 g). The dimensions of this model are 5.3 inches (width), 7.69 inches (height), and 0.25 inches (depth). This iPad Mini features several connectivity options, including a USB-C port, 5G wireless technology, 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6), and HT80 with MIMO capability.
The Operating System installed on the tablet fully supports the current iPadOS 15 version. It also supports the iPadOS 16 version with the exception of advanced features like Stage Manager, Reference Mode, Accessibility Detection, and Virtual Memory Swap.
