About This iPad

The iPad Air 3 was created with faster internals than the older iPad Pro 10.5 inch models but with lower quality components including the screen, speakers, and cameras. This allowed Apple to maintain a cheaper price for the iPad Air without compromising on the function and abilities of the device. Powered by a 6 core Apple A12 Bionic processor and 3 Gb of RAM this is certainly the fastest iPad Air made by Apple. This model has both wifi and cellular capabilities and is aimed towards the United States and Canadian markets. Users have the choice of either 64 GB or 256 GB of storage which is up from the last generation that featured 16 GB to 128 GB. Devices come in multiple different colors including black, space grey, white & silver and, white & gold. The new iPad Air 3 similar to a2123 features a smart connector for connecting the small Apple Smart Keyboard in addition the device is also compatible with the Apple Pencil for a full iPad experience.

The iPad Air 3 comes with 3 GB of RAM and has options that came with 64 or 256 GB of storage. Both storage options are curtesy of Apple’s flash storage chips.

The iPad Air 3 has a 10.5 inch LED-backlit “Retina” display that supported a native resolution of 2224×1668 (264 ppi). It features an 8 megapixel “iSight” camera capable of shooting stills and 1080p 30 fps video and a front-mounted 7 megapixel “FaceTime HD” camera capable of shooting stills and 720p video.

The iPad Air 3 comes with iOS 12.2 for its operating system. It was powered by a custom developed 2.49 GHz dual-core Apple A12 Bionic processor.

The iPad Air 3 is equipped with a Lithium Polymer battery that supported up to 9-10 hours of surfing of the web on Wi-Fi, watching a video, or listening to music there was no official report on the amount of standby time that the battery could support.

Upgradability

The Operating System installed on the tablet could be upgraded from iOS 12.2 to current iOS. However, no physical upgradability was present in the device due to the complex nature of fitting all components into such a compact form.
