The fourth generation Apple TV upgrades to the 64-bit A8 processor found in Apple’s iPhone 6. This is significantly more powerful than the A5 chip found in the current 3rd generation Apple TV and will allow for graphics quality that could compete with popular gaming consoles like the Playstation 4 and Xbox One. The new Apple TV 4G also has onboard storage, unlike the 2nd and 3rd generations which have no storage capacity aside from some flash memory for buffering.
