Apple has integrated AirDrop service into both iOS devices and Mac OS X computers to facilitate file sharing. Documents can be transferred between AirDrop-capable devices and computers directly via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth using the AirDrop protocol. AirDrop can transfer files of any size wirelessly, avoiding the need for email, messaging, external drives, or cables between devices to swap files.
