How do I disable suggested apps in iOS 10 or later?

In iOS 10 or later you can no longer disable App Suggestions by navigating to the iTunes & App Store section of the Settings app. The disable option is now instead available on the new Widgets screen. Follow these steps to disable App Suggestions on devices running iOS 10 or later:
