About this Apple Watch
The Apple Watch Series 9 was introduced on September 2023. While it retains a similar design to its predecessor, the Series 9 introduces a new Apple S9 processor, a brighter display, a unique double-tap gesture feature, and improved Siri capabilities.
This specific model, the Apple Watch Series 9 (Aluminum, GPS, 41 mm), lacks wireless cellular capability, a feature reserved for higher-end models in the series. To access Internet and additional functionalities, it requires connection to an iPhone XS or later running iOS 17 or later.
The watch is operated via a Digital Crown with haptic feedback and a touch-capable display. It features a 352×430 LTPO OLED Always-On Retina display, offering an impressive brightness of up to 2000 nits, and is protected by Ion-X glass. The case, made of anodized aluminum, is paired with a ceramic and sapphire crystal back that connects to the charger.
Battery life is estimated at up to 18 hours for moderate use, with a Low Power Mode that can extend this to up to 36 hours by disabling certain functions, including the Always-On Display.
The Series 9 is available in five aluminum colors: pink, nearly black “Midnight”, warm gray “Starlight”, silver, and (PRODUCT) RED. Apple also offers a variety of bundled bands and additional watch bands for customization.
