The Apple iPhone 15 Plus, with model number A3094, is a global variant designed for use with carriers in a vast array of countries, being available in at least 192 countries and territories. The iPhone 15 Plus was officially introduced in September 2023. However, it is not sold in certain markets including the United States, Canada, Mexico, Japan, Saudi Arabia, China, among others, despite its technical compatibility with carriers worldwide.
The device boasts a 6.7-inch “Super Retina XDR” display with a resolution of 2796×1290 pixels and 460 ppi, offering a nearly edge-to-edge screen experience. It features a “Dynamic Island” which houses a “TrueDepth” camera system on the front, supporting Face ID with a f/1.9 aperture, 12-megapixel photo capability, and 4K video recording.
On the back, it is equipped with an “advanced dual-camera system” that includes a 48-megapixel “Main” camera with an f/1.6 aperture and a 12-megapixel “Ultra Wide” camera with an f/2.4 aperture and a 120-degree field of view, both capable of 4K video.
The iPhone 15 Plus is encased in aluminum with a “contoured edge” design and flat sides, featuring a durable “Ceramic Shield” front cover and a “color-infused” glass back with an integrated “MagSafe” magnetic charging system. It is rated IP68 for water and dust resistance, capable of withstanding a maximum depth of 6 meters for up to 30 minutes. The device is offered in five color options: Blue, Pink, Yellow, Green, and Black.
Internally, the iPhone 15 Plus is powered by a 3.5 GHz “Apple A16 Bionic” processor with a 6-core CPU, a 5-core GPU, and a 16-core Neural Engine. It comes with 6 GB of RAM and offers storage options of 128 GB, 256 GB, or 512 GB. Connectivity features include 802.11ax Wi-Fi 6 with 2×2 MIMO, 5G, Bluetooth 5.3, “second generation” Ultra Wideband, NFC for Apple Pay, and support for dual eSIMs as well as a single nano-SIM. The device also supports “Express Cards with power reserve,” Crash Detection, Emergency SOS, and Roadside Assistance via satellite, and it has a USB-C port.
Apple’s battery life estimates for the iPhone 15 Plus suggest up to 100 hours of audio playback, 26 hours of video playback, and 20 hours of streamed video playback.
