About this iPhone
The Apple iPhone 15, tailored for the Chinese market with the model number A3092, was announced in September 2023. This model is distinct from its global counterparts as it is designed specifically for carriers in mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macao, and notably, it does not support eSIM technology. Instead, it accommodates dual hardware nano-SIMs, aligning with the preferences in its intended markets.
Like other models in the iPhone 15 series, the A3092 features a 6.1-inch “Super Retina XDR” display, offering a high-resolution (2556×1179, 460 ppi) haptic-touch capable screen that nearly covers the entire front of the device. The “Dynamic Island” houses a “TrueDepth” front camera with a f/1.9 aperture, capable of 12-megapixel photos and 4K video recording. On the rear, it boasts an “advanced dual-camera system” with a 48-megapixel “Main” camera and a 12-megapixel “Ultra Wide” camera, both capable of 4K video.
The design of the iPhone 15 A3092 is consistent with the series, featuring an aluminum case with contoured edges and flat sides, a durable “Ceramic Shield” front cover, and a “color-infused” glass back with an integrated “MagSafe” charging system. It is also rated IP68 for water and dust resistance.
Internally, the device is powered by the “Apple A16 Bionic” processor, which includes six cores—two for performance and four for efficiency—alongside a 5-core GPU and a 16-core Neural Engine. It comes with 6 GB of RAM and offers storage options of 128 GB, 256 GB, or 512 GB. Connectivity features include 802.11ax Wi-Fi 6, 5G wireless, Bluetooth 5.3, and NFC for Apple Pay. Additionally, it supports “Express Cards with power reserve” and offers Crash Detection, Emergency SOS, and Roadside Assistance via satellite.
Apple’s battery life estimates for the iPhone 15 A3092 suggest up to 80 hours of audio playback, 20 hours of video playback, and 16 hours of streamed video playback, reflecting a robust battery performance.
