Apple introduced the iPhone 14 A2882 on September 9, 2022. This iPhone 14 model is sold all around the globe. Apple launched this new iPhone model with several improvements compared to previous iPhone models. They added a faster GPU, better quality cameras, SOS via satellite feature, crash detection, and slightly longer battery life to this iPhone.
The internal architecture of this iPhone has a powerful A15 Bionic chip with six cores and a faster 5-core GPU for better multitasking and parallel processing. This iPhone’s CPU also has a 16-core Neural Engine that assists in machine learning tasks such as image processing and video analysis. A new crash detection feature is also introduced in the iPhone 14 A2882 that automatically dials emergency services in accidental situations.
On the front, the iPhone 14 A2882 has a 6.1-inch OLED Super Retina XDR display covered with a ceramic shield. It is an HDR display that supports True Tone, Wide color (P3), and Haptic Touch. The native resolution of this display is 2532 x 1170 at 460 ppi with a contrast ratio of 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio (typical). The peak brightness for HDR content is 1200 nits, while 800 nits for typical videos.
This iPhone features a total of three cameras. Two cameras on the back (diagonal arrangement) are the 12 MP Main and 12 MP Ultra-Wide cameras with larger apertures and Photonic Engine for better quality images and videos. The dual camera on the back side features Deep Fusion, Smart HDR 4 for photos, night mode, and supports 4k video recording. The 12 MP TrueDepth camera on the front is placed at the top center of the display. It features autofocus, image stabilization, and a FaceID recognition system.
The case is made of aluminum with a glass back. This iPhone has Dual eSIM support but lacks physical SIM compatibility. Five vibrant color options are available for this model, including Midnight, Purple, Starlight, (PRODUCT)RED, and Blue.
The several upgraded connectivity options of the iPhone 14 A2882 include Wi‑Fi 6 (802.11ax) with 2×2 MIMO, 5G with 4×4 MIMO, Bluetooth 5.3, Gigabit LTE with 4×4 MIMO, and connection for satellite calling.
