About this iPad Air
The iPad A2591 was introduced on March 8, 2022, and is a model with WiFi and cellular connectivity intended to be sold in the mainland China market.
Compared to its predecessors, this device has a significant advantage due to the mighty Apple M1 processor it has installed with its 64-bit architecture. This processor works at 3.2 GHz, and it easily outperforms its predecessors and competitors. Instead of Face ID, the unit offers Touch ID thanks to the authentication sensor, located on the phone’s top button. The device supports the Apple pencil 2nd Gen, also added as an option. The internal RAM is 8GB and users can choose a flash memory option between 64 GB or 256 GB.
The phone has a “Liquid Retina” fully-laminated and anti-reflective display (1.8% display reflectivity), which has a resolution of 2360×1640 pixels (264 ppi, 500 nits). Its size is 10.9″ and is packed into a thin case with rounded corners.
The camera system comes with two cameras—front and rear. The front one has 12MP resolution and is an ultrawide camera with a 122-degree field of view and an f/2.4 aperture. It shoots up to 1080p video, and the “Center Stage” technology enables the subject to keep the center position on the screen all the time. The 12MP rear-mounted camera is the “Wide” one that shoots up to 4K video with an f/1.8 aperture and auto image stabilization.
In addition to a USB-C port, other connectivity options are 5G, 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6), simultaneous dual-band (2.4GHz/5 GHz), HT80 with MIMO capability, and Bluetooth 5.0. It also has a dual microphone and stereo speakers.
The case has one of five colors, such as dark “Space Gray,” a warm gray “Starlight”, or pink, purple, or blue.
