This model comes with the new, faster processor, Apple M1, which works at 3.2 GHz and easily outperforms its predecessors and competitors. Instead of Face ID, the unit offers Touch ID thanks to the authentication sensor located on the phone’s top button.
The device supports the Apple pencil 2nd Gen, which was also added as an option. The internal RAM is 8GB, and users can choose a flash memory option between 64 GB and 256 GB. The phone has a “Liquid Retina” fully-laminated and anti-reflective display (1.8% display reflectivity), which has a resolution of 2360×1640 pixels (264 ppi, 500 nits). Its size is 10.9,” and it is packed into a thin case with rounded corners.
The camera system comes with two cameras—front and rear. The front one has a 12MP resolution and is an ultrawide camera with a 122-degree field of view and an f/2.4 aperture. It shoots up to 1080p video, and the “Center Stage” technology enables the subject to keep the center position on the screen all the time. The 12MP rear-mounted camera is the “Wide” one that shoots up to 4K video with an f/1.8 aperture and auto image stabilization.
In addition to a USB-C port, other connectivity options are 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6), simultaneous dual-band (2.4GHz/5 GHz), HT80 with MIMO capability, and Bluetooth 5.0. It also has a dual microphone and stereo speakers.
This iPhone model also supports some 5G NR, FDD-LTE, and TD-LTE bands and UMTS/HSPA/HSPA+/DC HSDPA (850, 900, 1700/2100, 1900, and 2100 MHz).
The case itself has one of five colors, such as dark “Space Gray,” a warm gray “Starlight,” or pink, purple, or blue.
