Apple unveiled the iPad Pro A2437 on October 18, 2022. It is sold globally except in the US and mainland China. This 6th Gen iPad Pro model has compatibility with eSIM and physical nano SIM cards. Apple introduced several improvements in this iPad Pro, such as a faster processor, faster Wi-Fi, ProRes video capture, and Apple Pencil’s new “Hover” feature. The hover feature of this iPad Pro detects and projects the positioning of the Apple Pencil before touching the screen.

Apple added a powerful M2 processor in this iPad Pro that takes responsibility for its performance and efficiency. This processor has eight cores (4 performance cores and four efficiency cores) with a 3.49 GHz clock speed. It also features a graphics processor with 10 cores. The internal architecture also features a faster 16-core Neural Engine. The memory bandwidth of this model is 100 GB/s.

A 12.9-inch Liquid Retina XDR display covers the entire front of the iPad Pro A2437. The native resolution of this display is 2732 x 2048 at 264 ppi. It is a fully laminated anti-reflective display that provides a seamless experience. The display is also equipped with Apple ProMotion technology for up to 120 Hz adaptive frame rates. This model comes with Wide-color (P3) and True Tone support. It has a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1. Additionally, the display of this model provides 1000 nits full-screen brightness and 1600 nits peak HDR brightness. 

The iPad Pro A2437 has a front-mounted 12 MP TrueDepth camera, which supports FaceID verification. It has a 122-degree field of view and an f/2.4 aperture. This front camera is capable of taking 12-megapixel high-quality images. It also features the “Center Stage” feature, which automatically pans and zooms the items on the screen while recording videos up to 1080p. The backside of this iPad Pro has a Pro Camera system featuring a 12 MP Wide-Angle and 10 MP Ultra-Wide Angle camera. The 10 MP Ultra-Wide angle camera with an f/2.4 aperture and a 125-degree field of view has a LiDAR scanner and can record 4K videos and still photos. The 12 MP wide-angle camera with an f/1.8 aperture and a wide field of view serves as the device’s secondary camera on the rear. 

This iPad Pro model supports Apple Pencil 2nd-Gen (A2051, MU8F2AM/A), which is charged magnetically, external keyboards and trackpads. This model also supports a LiDAR scanner.

A thin black bezel surrounds the display. The design of this model has flat sides with rounded corners. The color options for the backside of this model are Silver or a darker Space Gray color. 

The RAM and storage on this iPad Pro 12.9-inch 6th Gen 2022 device are upgradeable. This device can be upgraded from 8 GB to 128 GB, 256 GB, or 512 GB storage, and the RAM can be upgraded from 16 GB to 1 TB or 2 TB at the time of purchase.

This iPad Pro model’s connectivity options include Thunderbolt / USB 4, simultaneous dual-band 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6E) with 2×2 MIMO, and Bluetooth 5.3. It also has a four-speaker system and five microphones.
