The display resolution is 2388×1668 pixels at 264 ppi of pixel density and features 600 nits of brightness. It has a wide color and True Tone display. It is covered with an oleophobic coating and is fingerprint resistant. Besides, the display has an optical anti-reflective coating with 1.8% reflectivity that reduces ambient light reflections.
Inside is a powerful A12Z Bionic chip with a Neural engine processor and an M12 coprocessor. The chip is processing 64-bit instructions and manages all iPad operations. It uses 6 GB of internal memory and 128GB of storage memory that can be upgraded up to a maximum of 1TB. Also, the unit has one Nano-SIM and one e-SIM.
It has three cameras, one in the front and two at the rear. The front camera is a True Depth camera that can take 7 MP photos with an f/2.2 aperture using auto image stabilization. It also has a Face Identification capability, and that feature enables Apple Pay and other applications that use it as a security option. The Ultrawide camera has a 10 MP resolution and an f/2.4 aperture, covering a 125-degree field of view, and the Wide camera has a 12 MP resolution with an f/1.8 aperture. Thanks to the LIDAR scanner, this iPad can scan and map the environment using laser beams. This feature introduces 3D scanning and new applications that come with it. The case comes in Silver and Space Gray colors.
