The iPad (7th Gen) A2200 was officially launched on September 10, 2019, in the markets of the US and Canada only. This 7th-Gen 10.2-inch iPad has a bigger screen size than the iPad 6th-Gen. This iPad is the first one that features Smart Connector and an Apple Smart Keyboard. Apple introduced the A10 Fusion chip with desktop-level 64-bit architecture in this iPad. It is a 2.33 GHz processor with an M10 motion coprocessor to track the user’s movements.
This iPad features a 10.2-inch Retina LED-backlit display. The display of this iPad is Multi-touch and touch-sensitive. It uses IPS technology for wider view angles. The front camera of this iPad is a 1.2 MP Ultra Wide camera called FaceTime HD camera by Apple. This iPad’s front camera can shoot stills and record 720p HD videos. This iPad has a dual camera system on the backside. The dual camera of this iPad is an 8MP iSight Camera that can record 1080p videos at up to 30 fps and shoot live videos.
This 10.2-inch iPad also has a Touch ID fingerprint sensor on the front side. The additional features of this iPad include a nano-SIM tray, dual microphones for calls, support for Apple smart keyboard, and a smart connector. It also supports the original Apple Pencil. This model is available in two colors – Black and White.
This 10.2-inch iPad model has a slim design. It weighs around 1.07 pounds (483 g). The dimensions of this model are 6.8 inches (width), 9.8 inches (height), and 0.29 inches (depth). This iPad features a smart connector for an Apple Smart Keyboard. A lightning port is also included in this model. It also supports dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi, HT80 with MIMO support (backward compatible), and Bluetooth 4.2.
