This a1534 device is a BTO/CTO device that is nearly identical to MF855LL/A and MF865LL/A. We have listed this device separately as it has been configured with an upgraded processor when compared to the base MacBook model. This has been done to make it easier to catalog as well as easier to read.
The dawn of 2015 saw the re-establishment of the MacBook Family from the previous 2010 MacBook models. The MacBook had been fully redesigned and bore the only resemblance in name to the last one produced in 2010 and discontinued in 2012.
This came with a lot of focus on not only powerful internal capacity but lighter and thinner models, the MacBook 12 Inch computer with a 1.3 GHz Intel Core M processor (M-5Y71) was and still is a device that remains a favorite today. The connectivity options for external devices to the MacBook had now been cut down drastically to only 2 – USB-C ports as well as a headphone jack.
The flexibility to upgrade died in this MacBook – The RAM and onboard internal storage were fixed without the option of upgrading. The 8 GB of RAM and 256/512 GB of onboard PCIe-based flash storage was impossible to upgrade and due to this the thickness was drastically reduced to between 0.14 – 0.52 inches and the weight was more than halved (2.03 pounds) when compared to the lightest versions from the 2006 – 2010 periods. This MacBook came with macOS 10.10.2 and could be updated to macOS 11.

Storage
The storage was equally revamped with 256/512 GB of PCIe-based flash storage soldered to the Mother Board with no hope of a future upgrade. The storage speed of the hard drive is estimated between 451.7 – 738.2 MB/s.
Screen Size and Resolution
This MacBook came with a 12 inch screen that incorporated an incredible upgrade in its native resolution from the previous 1280×820 to 2304×1440 and a new TFT LED-Backlit active-matrix “Retina” display (for millions of colors to be displayed clearly as the pixel density is very high – 226 pixels per inch ensuring that individual pixels are not easily detectable at a normal viewing distance) with IPS technology it also supports other resolutions such as 1440×900, 1280×800 and 1024×640.
Processor& Graphics Processing Unit (GPU)
The preinstalled operating system on this device was MacOS X 10.10.2 (14C2061). Apple also made a return to Intel for the provision of a graphics processor with the Intel Integrated HD Graphics 5300 graphics processor replacing the NVIDIA GeForce that was used in the last 2010 model. This processor shared the memory of the onboard 8 GB 1600 MHz LPDDR3 SDRAM.
Memory & Architecture
This devicewas powered with a 4 MB Level 3 cache and 8 GB of onboard 1600 MHz LPDDR3 SDRAM that cannot be upgraded, unlike the previous versions. This was centered on a 64-Bit architecture.
Battery Life
The MacBook was further improvedby a 39.7-watt-hour lithium polymer battery that guarantees 10 hours of battery life as a result of their innovative new-terraced design packing of battery cells.
Upgradability
The flexibility to upgradedied in this MacBook – The RAM and onboard internal storage were fixed without the option of upgrading. Inclusive Features
The MacBook Pro includes the following features and ports:
Standard AirPort (802.11ac)
Bluetooth 4.0 that provides optimal low energy usage for quick PAN (Personal Area Network) connections and transfers and is also backwards compatible with lower bluetooth devices
1 USB-C port for connectivity
480p FaceTime Webcam
Optical digital audio in/out for connecting external audio equipment like headphones and microphones
By attaching VGA or HDMI adapters to the single USB-C port you can assess 2nd display support resolution properties of up to 3840×2160.
Full size backlit keyboard
Force Touch TrackPad which lets you Force Click by pressing on the trackpad and then applying more pressure, it is able to differentiate various functions as a result of how much pressure is applied.
